Goalie Training

Off-Ice Programming

Strength, mobility, and movement work built around what a goaltender's body actually has to do, led by Greg Maggio, MGD's Strength & Conditioning Coach, in partnership with Rengert Sports.

What's Included

  • Mobility and flexibility work built around the butterfly and recovery positions
  • Goaltender-specific strength: hips, core, and lateral explosiveness
  • Injury-prevention and durability work for a long season
  • In-season maintenance blocks and off-season build blocks

Formats

  • 1:1 training with a dedicated program
  • Small group sessions with other MGD goalies
  • A take-home program you can run on your own schedule

Built for Goaltenders, Not Just Athletes

Generic gym programming doesn't account for what a goalie's hips, groin, and core go through every session. This program is built specifically around the goaltending position, in partnership with Rengert Sports.

In-Season Goalie Fitness Program

Priced as a monthly retainer rather than a lump sum, because some months carry more work than others: preseason and playoffs are heavier than midwinter. Programming updates and check-ins are included every month.

If a Goalie Is Cut or Needs to Pause

A roster spot can disappear mid-season through no fault of the athlete, and nobody should be paying for programming they cannot use. The terms below are set out in advance so there is nothing to argue about if it happens.

  • The program pauses for up to 30 days at no charge and no penalty from the day the goalie loses their spot. Let us know and billing stops.
  • If they land a new spot inside that window, billing and programming resume exactly where they left off. Nothing is lost and nothing is backdated.
  • If they do not land a spot within 30 days, the program ends. The enrollment fee is the only amount kept, and no further monthly charges are owed in either direction.
  • A pause for injury or any other reason is handled the same way. Tell us as early as you can.
